Cleveland Federation of Musicians Local 4

We are Local 4 of the American Federation of Musicians. We represent the professional musician in Northern Ohio.

The musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra, Opera Cleveland, Cleveland Chamber Symphony, Cleveland Pops Orchestra, TOPS Swing Band, Blossom Festival Band and Blossom Festival Orchestra are members of Local 4.

The performers in the orchestra pits of Playhouse Square Foundation, The Cleveland Playhouse and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival are also members of the Union.

Rockers Neil Geraldo, Gene Schwartz and Joe Walsh are in, as are polka kings Joe Wendel and the Vadnal Brothers. Frankie Yankovic was a Life Member. Contemporary artist Jim Brickman is also a member. Legendary Big Band leader and trumpeter Ray Anthony as well as Saxophonist Eddie Platt of 'Tequila' and 'Chi-Hua-Hua' fame are Life Members of Local 4.

We represent String Quartets, All Occasion Bands, Bagpipers, Harpists, Jazz Combos, Swing Bands, Brass Ensembles, Composers, Arrangers and Cocktail Pianists.
